The Journal of Global Economic Growth & Development maintains the highest standards of research honesty and publishing ethics. We have a strict zero-tolerance policy for all forms of plagiarism (using others' work without credit), making up data, changing data, and other unethical research practices. To ensure all submissions are original, the journal uses advanced tools to detect plagiarism before publishing.
Authors are fully responsible for the content and honesty of their papers. If plagiarism or ethical misconduct is found, either before or after publishing, our editorial board has the right to take appropriate action following international ethical guidelines. This might include, but is not limited to, informing the authors’ institutions, ethics committees, or relevant bodies for further investigation.
While the journal starts the process for suspected ethical issues, it does not fully investigate or make final judgments. All decisions about possible misconduct follow principles from COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) and other known rules.
By submitting to this journal, authors agree to follow these ethical standards when preparing and submitting their work.
Editorial Rules and Process
The Journal of Global Economic Growth & Development follows a forward-thinking editorial approach that encourages high-quality original research, detailed reviews, and insightful editorial comments. Submissions should be based on strong evidence and presented clearly and precisely. We strongly encourage authors to improve their papers with well-structured tables, figures, and charts that clearly show complex data and support key findings. This helps readers understand and makes a greater impact.
Article Processing Charges (APC)
The Journal of Global Economic Growth & Development is an independent, self-funded Open Access publication. It doesn't receive money from government bodies or connected institutions. To ensure the journal continues to offer quality, easy access, and stay viable, operational costs are covered by article processing charges (APCs) paid by authors and occasional support from academic or corporate sponsors.
In line with its Open Access model, the journal provides free, unrestricted access to all published articles. This removes subscription fees for readers and greatly increases the global reach and visibility of authors' work. Importantly, no fees are charged when you submit your paper. Authors only pay the processing fee after their paper has successfully passed peer review and has been officially accepted for publication.
The journal welcomes high-quality submissions on a wide range of topics within global economics and development, as well as related areas like economic systems and technology, economic aspects of health and growth, economic management, rules in economics, public and personal economic issues, and economic psychology, among others.
The average time to process an article (APT) is 20 days.
The standard Article Processing Charge (APC) is listed in the journal’s pricing details; however, this fee might change based on specific needs for the paper. Factors that can affect costs include needing extensive language or technical editing, color figures, complex math formatting, or if the paper is much longer than usual.
Whether a paper is accepted is decided only through careful editorial review and an independent peer-review process. This ensures that all publications meet the journal’s high standards of academic honesty, regardless of whether the author chooses the standard or faster review path. Both the editor in charge and the author submitting the paper are responsible for keeping scientific accuracy and ethical standards.
The main author, or their linked institution/organization, is responsible for paying the required processing fees. If authors choose a Fast Track Review, an extra fee applies for quicker peer review, faster editorial decisions, and prioritized publishing.
All accepted articles whether through the regular or fast-track process—are carefully prepared in many digital formats (like PDF, HTML, and XML) and saved for permanent access. Also, the journal ensures wide sharing by sending published content to relevant indexing databases, which helps make them easier to find and cite.
Author Withdrawal Policy
Authors can withdraw their paper at any time during the review and publishing process. If a withdrawal request is made within 3 days of the first submission, there will be no charges.
However, if the withdrawal request comes after this initial 3-day grace period, a partial processing fee will apply. This policy reflects the administrative and editorial resources already put into checking, tracking, and preliminary review of the paper. Once the paper has gone through peer review—which can happen within the first week of submission—and editorial work has been done to prepare it for possible publication, costs are incurred by the journal.
Therefore, if a paper is withdrawn after review, authors must pay 55% of the original Article Processing Charge (APC) to help cover the processing and operational expenses.
This policy balances the journal’s promise to be flexible with edits and the need to get back essential production-related costs.
How to Submit an Article
To help our editorial work flow smoothly and on time, authors should follow the journal’s required structure, formatting, and length rules at every step of submitting and revising their paper. Following these rules greatly reduces delays and helps with efficient review and publishing.
All submitted papers must include a structured summary of about 300 words, clearly separate from the main text. This summary should briefly state the study's purpose, methods used, and key findings, giving readers a quick overview of the work. Authors should use short sub-headings, no more than 40 characters, to make the text clearer and better organized.

Article Preparation Guidelines
Authors need to send an electronic cover letter with their paper, clearly stating the type of submission (e.g., Original Research Article, Review Article, Mini Review, Case Report, Case Study, Brief Communication, etc.). Unless specifically asked by the Editorial Board, authors should not label their submissions as Editorials, Letters to the Editor, or Concise Communications.
Each author listed must meet the authorship rules set by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and confirmed by submitting to the Journal of Global Economic Growth & Development. Authorship means truly contributing to the idea, plan, execution, or understanding of the research.
Papers sent to the journal must be original and not being considered by any other publication at the same time. Sending the same paper to multiple places is unethical and will not be accepted.
Authors must clearly share any financial support, grants, or benefits received from businesses or other groups related to their work. Also, any possible conflicts of interest, financial or otherwise, must be openly declared, as this is crucial for maintaining the honesty of academic communication.
The title page (Page 1) must include:
• A clear and descriptive title (don't use abbreviations)
• A short running title for page headers
• Full names of all authors with their academic qualifications and where they work
• Complete contact information for the main author, including mailing address, phone, fax (if any), and email
• Thanks to funding sources or institutional support
• Details for requesting copies of the paper
Papers must have numbered pages, including all parts like text, references, tables, and figure captions, to help with smooth review and processing.
It is the main author's job to ensure any conflicts of interest that come up after publication are handled quickly and openly.
Guidelines for Research Articles
Research Articles should be based on either original data or analysis of existing data, done using a clear and scientifically sound research method. The conclusions should be directly supported by the data analysis and offer new ideas or significantly contribute to the growing knowledge in global economics and development.
Submitted papers should not just show data, but must also offer a critical evaluation, explanation, or combination that shows how important the findings are in relation to existing knowledge and new advancements.
Each research article must include a structured summary, no more than 300 words, organized under these headings:
• Objective
• Methods
• Results
• Conclusion
Additionally, authors should provide 5 to 10 relevant keywords to help with searching and indexing.
The full paper should follow this structure:
1. Title Page
2. Abstract and Keywords
3. Introduction: Explaining the research question and background
4. Review of Literature: A brief overview of past work related to the study
5. Materials and Methods: Detailing the study plan, data collection, and analysis
6. Results: Clearly presented findings with proper tables and figures
7. Discussion: Explanation of results, comparison with previous studies, and what they mean
8. Conclusion: Summarizing key takeaways and future research directions
9. References: Properly formatted and current
10. Tables and Figure Legends: Clearly labeled and numbered in order
Research Articles
Research Articles sent to the Journal of Global Economic Growth & Development should present original studies that offer new insights into global economics or development. Articles must be based on primary data from careful experimental, observational, or analytical research, with clear goals and relevance to the journal’s focus.
A structured summary (max 300 words) and relevant keywords should come with each article. The introduction must define the research problem, goals, and importance. Methods should be described in enough detail for others to repeat the study. Results should be presented clearly, supported by tables, figures, or charts. The discussion should explain findings, compare them with existing literature, note any limitations, and suggest what they mean.
Conclusions should summarize key findings and their impact. All claims must be properly cited following the journal’s referencing rules.
Review Articles
Review articles submitted to the Journal of Global Economic Growth & Development should offer a full and critical summary of existing literature, mainly based on secondary data relevant to the journal’s focus. These articles should provide clear, academic insight into a specific part of global economics or development, contributing meaningfully to academic discussion by analyzing current trends, finding gaps in research, and offering ideas for future study.
A well-structured review starts with a clear statement of the problem, along with a short summary no more than 300 words, plus important keywords to help people find it. The introduction should set the topic, showing its relevance and importance in the broader field. This is followed by a thorough, analytical discussion that includes relevant charts, tables, images, and illustrations to support key points and make complex information clearer.
The review should end with a complete conclusion that sums up the main findings, considers their implications, and suggests directions for future research. Every claim, explanation, or observation in the article must be supported by proper references. Authors must provide full citations according to the journal’s referencing guidelines to maintain academic quality and honesty.
Review articles should not just summarize what's known, but also critically engage with it, offering original ideas or explanations that improve understanding in global economics and development.
Commentaries
Commentaries in the Journal of Global Economic Growth & Development are short, thought-provoking opinion pieces written mainly by experienced scholars, subject experts, or leaders in their field. These articles aim to offer informed views on important advancements, new trends, innovative methods, or recent research breakthroughs that fit the journal’s main topics.
Designed to be brief yet impactful, each commentary should include a clear and interesting title along with a short summary that captures the main idea or topic, plus a few carefully chosen keywords. Unlike typical research articles, commentaries take a direct approach—quickly introducing the central issue or development, followed by a critical analysis based on evidence. Where appropriate, authors can include relevant figures, tables, or illustrations to make their commentary clearer and more effective.
The conclusion should summarize the main insights and may suggest what they mean for practice, policy, or future research. All statements or interpretations must be supported by proper references, which should be clearly cited and listed according to the journal’s citation style. Ultimately, commentaries aim to encourage discussion, promote reflection, and offer expert insights that contribute to the ongoing conversation in global economics and development.
Case Study
Case studies submitted to the Journal of Global Economic Growth & Development are valuable contributions that offer extra insights into complex economic or investigative situations, enriching the broader discussion in global development research.
These reports aim to highlight unique, rare, or illustrative cases that improve understanding, inform real-world practice, or create ideas for future research. A well-structured case study should provide meaningful context and show its relevance to the journal’s main themes. Submissions must be short and focused, following a clear format that includes a "Case and Methods" section—detailing the economic situation, how it was studied, and actions taken—followed by a "Discussion" that critically analyzes the case based on current knowledge and practices. The report should end with a "Conclusion" that briefly summarizes key lessons and practical implications. Case studies should help advance knowledge by offering new perspectives or reinforcing existing evidence through real-world examples. While brief, they must maintain academic quality and include relevant citations to support economic decisions and analytical explanations.
Editorials
Editorials in the Journal of Global Economic Growth & Development are short, authoritative comments that offer critical views on recently published articles, new issues, or important developments within global economics or development. These contributions are usually requested by the Editorial Office and aim to provide expert insight, context, or thoughtful reflections that add to the journal's current content.
Invited authors are expected to submit their editorial papers within three weeks of receiving the official invitation. Submissions should be focused, rich in analysis, and intellectually engaging, while remaining brief and clear, suitable for an editorial format. These pieces are key in shaping academic discussion, highlighting what new findings mean, and guiding future research within the journal’s scope.
Clinical Images (Not applicable for this journal - perhaps remove or rename to "Visual Data")
Note: "Clinical Images" is not relevant for an economics journal. You should either remove this section entirely or rephrase it to "Visual Data" or "Data Visualizations" if the journal accepts visual representations of economic data.
Letters to the Editor/Concise Communications
Letters to the Editor in the Journal of Global Economic Growth & Development provide a place for academic discussion, allowing readers to engage with and critically reflect on content previously published in the journal. These letters should offer focused comments, helpful criticism, or clarification on specific parts of a recently published article, especially addressing economic, policy, or methodological issues raised.
Submissions must be brief, clear, and well-written, and may also include short observations or additional findings relevant to the original publication. Unlike full articles, letters don't need structured formatting, like summaries, section headings, or acknowledgments. Instead, they serve as a forum for academic opinion, expert insight, or clarification in response to previous work.
To ensure relevance and timeliness, letters should be submitted within six months of the original article's publication date. All submissions are reviewed by the editorial team and must meet the journal’s standards for clarity, accuracy, and professional discussion.
Acknowledgments
This section is for formally recognizing individuals, institutions, or organizations that helped with the research but don't meet the requirements for authorship. Authors should thank any technical help, administrative support, critical review, or editorial guidance received while preparing the paper. Also, all funding sources, including grant numbers, funding agencies, and sponsors, must be clearly and accurately stated to ensure transparency and ethical publishing standards.
Note: Papers that do not fully follow the submission rules must still have clear and well-organized headings and sub-headings to ensure they are easy to read and structured correctly.
References
Only sources that have been formally published or accepted for publication should be included in the reference list. Materials like meeting summaries, oral presentations, or papers under review and not yet accepted must not be cited. Any mention of personal communications must be supported by a formal letter or written permission from the person mentioned.
Journal of Global Economic Growth & Development, published by Epic Globe Publisher, uses the citation-sequence format, also known as the numbered referencing style. References should be listed in the order they appear in the main text. In-text citations must be shown by numbers in square brackets. When citing multiple sources at once, numbers should be separated by commas, and if citing three or more consecutive references, a hyphenated range should be used (e.g., [1, 3, 5–7, 12]).
Before finalizing the citation order, authors must ensure all sections of the paper are arranged correctly as per journal rules. Figure captions and tables should appear at the end of the paper.
To help with digital linking and indexing, authors are strongly encouraged to include at least one active online link for each reference, preferably from relevant economic databases or similar reputable sources.
Proper citation formatting is essential, as all references will be electronically linked to their original sources whenever possible. The reference list must strictly follow the journal’s specific formatting style, as outlined below:
